The cover of the contract reads, “AMERICAN LEAGUE PLAYER’S CONTRACT - American League Base Ball Club of New York With George Selkirk”. Selkirk was the player who wore the number “3” after the iconic Babe Ruth. The cover has the signature of the American League president William Harridge and is dated, “APR 7 1932”. The body of the contract states that Selkirk earns “an aggregate salary of $3,500”. The second-to-last page is signed in a secretarial Jacob Ruppert signature and Selkirk in black ink on April 5th, 1932 and in our opinion the signature rates a combined 7.5. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
