During Game 3 of the 1932 World Series, Yankees legend Babe Ruth called his shot to the centerfield bleachers and it became known as one of the greatest home runs in history. Manuf: Spalding, Length: 35 in. Engraved into the barrel of the bat is the player name “ENGLISH”. Engraved on the opposite side reads “PRESENTED BY, A.J. CERMAK. MAYOR OF CHICAGO - NATIONAL LEAGUE CHAMPIONS 1932”. The bat has been signed by 17 members of the 1932 National League Champion Chicago Cubs. Notable signatures include Hall of Famers Kiki Cuyler, Burleigh Grimes and Billy Herman. Additional signatures include: Woody English, Pat Malone, Zach Taylor, Johnny Moore, Marv Gudat, Stanley Hack, Jakie May and Charlie Root. Also featured are coaches Charley O’Leary and John “Red” Corriden. All of the signatures are done in the same black period fountain ink and in our opinion rate a strong 7 overall. The bat is in NM condition. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA and an additional LOA from Woody English.
