In 1932, the New York Yankees won their fourth and last World Series led by Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. After having already hit a home run earlier in Game Three against the Chicago Cubs, Ruth came to the plate in the fifth inning. Amidst the jeers of the crowd, Ruth allegedly stepped out of the batter's box and pointed to the centerfield stands, "calling his shot." On the next pitch, Ruth slammed a home run into the bleachers. The world may never know if he really called his shot, but the legend remains one of the most famous moments in baseball history. Reach manufactured OAL Harridge baseball in VG-EX condition. Babe Ruth has signed on the sweet spot in black ink and in our opinion the signature rates a 6. Ruth’s Hall of Fame teammate Lou Gehrig signed on the south panel and in our opinion the signature rates a 7. The ball is also highlighted by HOFers Red Ruffing, Joe Cronin, Tony Lazzeri, Heinie Manush and Ed Delahanty. The rest of the signatures are also done in black ink and in our opinion rate between a 4-6. Accompanied by a Full LOA from JSA.
