The 1932 Yankees featured an overpowering lineup that scored the most runs in the American League for the seventh consecutive season. The roster was highlighted by an MLB record 10 Hall of Famers including manager Joe McCarthy. This “D&M” manufactured baseball features 21 signatures from the World Champion 1932 New York Yankees including all 10 Hall of Famers in Babe Ruth (ss), Lou Gehrig, Red Ruffing, Joe Sewell, Herb Pennock, Joe McCarthy (mgr), Bill Dickey, Tony Lazzeri, Earle Combs and Lefty Gomez. Additional signatures include Jorgens, Chapman, Crosetti, Pipgras, McFayden, Allen, Farrell, Hoag, Saltzgaver, Lary, and Sammy Byrd whose 1932 Championship ring can be found in Lot #1 of this sale. Opposite the sweet spot is the inscription, “To Gabby From the Yanks”. The signatures are all done in black in and rate 4-6 overall with Ruth and Gehrig at a near 6. The baseball is in VG condition.
