Dwight D. Eisenhower was the 34th President of the United States of America and a notable athlete, playing football for West Point. Eisenhower had great aspirations of being a professional baseball player, and tried out for the West Point baseball team but did not make it. After his athletic career ended, Eisenhower became a decorated general in World War II. In 1952, the five-star general ran for president and won in a landslide, receiving 442 electoral votes to Adlai Stevenson’s 89. Offered is an outstanding President Eisenhower single-signed and inscribed baseball to Eddie Rommel. Reach manufactured OAL Harridge baseball. Eisenhower signed on the sweet spot in blue ink with the added inscription “To Eddie Rommel” and in our opinion the signature rates a 7. This baseball was personally obtained by Eddie Rommel during one of the Opening Day ceremonies at which Eisenhower threw out the first pitch. Accompanied by a Full LOA from PSA/DNA and a Rommel Family LOA.
