The 17th Ryder Cup matches were held in October of 1967 at the Champions Golf Club in Houston, Texas. The United States won by a record-setting 15 points, a record that still stands today. Arnold Palmer earned five points overall, going 2-0-0 in singles and 1-0-0 in each foursomes and fourballs. The blue leather USA team travel bag belonged to Arnold Palmer. Fantastic overall condition with original buttons and zipper. Painted on one side of the bag is the player name, “Arnold Palmer” and on the other side is a painted “RYDER CUP 1967” shield logo with the flags of each country with a trophy. This bag was presented to us as Palmer’s and in our opinion is in magnificent condition. This bag was originally part of a Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame display in Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and matches perfectly to Palmer's Golf Bag & Spikes Tote from the 2012 Ryder Cup exhibit from the Oakbrook Country Club.
1967 Arnold Palmer Ryder Cup USA Team Travel Bag (US Retains The Cup • Record Largest Margin of Victory 23½ to 8½)
