A 6-foot-2 fantastically athletic guard, Hal Greer had a sweet-shooting touch and was deadly on the fast break. Greer's career was an assault on the NBA's record books: at the time of his HOF enshrinement, he ranked among the top ten all-time in points scored, field goals attempted, field goals made, minutes played, and personal fouls. In a fifteen-year career, Greer averaged 19.2 ppg and recorded 4,540 career assists. During the 1967 All-Star Game, he scored 17 points with 4 rebounds and an assist. Hall of Fame, Class of 1982. NBA Top 50 Player. On the left front tail is the “Wilson” manufacturer’s tag with wash instructions and jersey size “40”. On both the front and back is player number “15” done in white tackle twill. On front is “EAST ALL STAR GAME” along with the Golden Gate Bridge done in gold felt appliqué. Also on front is “1967” along with eight stars also done in red felt appliqué. Greer has signed the back in silver marker adding the inscription “#15” rating a 6. Inside the rear waistband of the satin-like shorts is the “Wilson” manufacturer’s tag with wash instructions and size “32”. Down either side of the shorts is “EAST” done in blue tackle twill. This magnificent uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
