The Cleveland Browns first round draft pick in 1964, Paul Warfield’s ability to break down defenses and make spectacular plays earned him a trip to the Pro Bowl eight times. His remarkable 20.1 yards per catch is among the highest in league history. Inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1983, Warfield was a key fixture in the Browns offense. On the front left tail is a faded Southern Athletic manufacturer’s tag size “42” with washing instructions. Adjacent above is the “BLEEP-COOMBS” distributor’s tag. The player number “42” appears on the front, back and on both sleeves painted in brown. Numerous repairs are present throughout the jersey including the front, back and both shoulders. The jersey is sans the 50th NFL anniversary patch. Warfield signed the back of the jersey in black marker and in our opinion rates an 8. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use. Accompanied by a Photo-Match.com LOA confirming the match and grading the jersey a perfect 10 as well as a Full JSA LOA and a photo of Warfield holding the jersey.
