A 6-foot-tall guard, Dampier is one of only a handful of men to play all nine seasons in the American Basketball Association (ABA) (1967-1976), all with the Kentucky Colonels. He also was one of just two players to play all nine ABA seasons with the same team; the other was Byron Beck of the Denver Rockets, later renamed the Nuggets. In the back waistband of the pants is the "Rawlings" manufacturers size 32 tag. Next to this is the original player embroidered patch “5” with the wash instructions tag next to it. Player number “10” is written in the back waistband in black marker. The pants show game-use and appear to have no alterations of any kind. Originally issued and worn by Sam Smith and then later re-issued and worn by Louie Dampier.
