Pro Football Hall of Famer Ray Nitschke was the anchor of the defense for Green Bay Packers head coach Vince Lombardi in the 1960s, leading the Packers to five NFL Championships and victories in the first two Super Bowls. In 1969, he was awarded as the NFL's all-time top linebacker by the NFL in honor of the NFL's 50th Anniversary. Nitschke has his number “66” retired by the Green Bay Packers and in 2010 was named one of the NFL’s “100 Greatest Players”. Offered is the jersey Nitschke wore in his final game ever. On the front left tail is the Sand Knit manufacturer’s tag size “52” with washing instructions. Adjacent above is the Sand Knit “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the Green Bay Packers” tag. The number “3” is handwritten on this tag in black marker. Attached to the rear collar is a flag tag reading the size “52”. On the front, back and on both sleeves is the player number “66” painted on in green. Across the back on a white nameplate is the player name “NITSCHKE” painted in green. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a Nitschke family LOA and a Photo-Match.com LOA confirming the match.
