The last man to truly threaten the .400 batting average mark, Hall of Famer George Brett was an icon in Kansas City. Brett finished his career with a .305 batting average and 3,154 hits. Inside the rear neck is an atypical earlier Wilson manufacturer’s tag size “42” with washing instructions. Adjacent below is a box tag reading the year “77” embroidered. Brett signed inside the rear neck in blue marker and in our opinion rates an 8. Across the chest reads “KANSAS CITY” and on the back is the player number “5”. All numbering and lettering is done in white tackle twill. On the left sleeve is a Royals team logo disc patch. Very minor staining is present on the front. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use. Accompanied by a MEARS A10 LOA and a LOA from JSA.
