In 1972, Hayes was traded to the Baltimore Bullets, where he teamed with Hall-Of-Famer Wes Unseld to form a fierce and dominating frontcourt combination. The much honored Hayes made the All-NBA First Team and Second Team three times each and played in 12 consecutive NBA All-Star Games from 1969-80. Hayes is an NBA Champion, was enshrined in the Hall of Fame in 1990 and voted one of the NBA 50 Greatest Players in 1996. Upon his retirement as a player, Hayes was among the NBA's all-time leaders in many statistical categories, including scoring, games played, minutes and rebounds. Hayes was immensely popular with fans, who appreciated his dominating style of play as well as his persona off the court. On the front left tail is the “Wilson” manufacturer’s tag with the size “46”, wash instructions and a flag tag reading “LONG” with the inches “11” written in black marker. Across the front of the jersey reads “bullets” in blue tackle twill. Adjacent above is a basketball in white tackle twill with a blue embroidery stitch. Adjacent below and on the back of the jersey is Hayes’ number “11” in blue on white on red triple tackle twill. Across the back is the player name “HAYES” in navy blue screenprint on a white nameplate. Hayes has signed the front of the jersey with the added inscription “The Big “E””, in our opinion the signature rates a 7. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use. This jersey is the only known Baltimore Bullets example and is accompanied by a full LOA from JSA.
