The first athlete in the modern age to play two professional sports, Bo Jackson possessed all-world talent on the baseball and football field. While playing his senior season for the Auburn Tigers, in which he would go on to win the Heisman, Jackson tallied an amazing 1,786 yards, which was the second best single-season performance in SEC history. On the front left tail is the Russell Athletic manufacturer’s tag size “48” with washing instructions. The player number “34” appears on the front, back and on both shoulders all in white tackle twill. There are numerous repairs to both shoulder areas and there is football related staining on the front and back numbers. Jackson signed the back of the jersey in black marker and in our opinion rates an 8. Underarm inserts have been added to the sleeves to widen the jersey for player comfort. The sides have been taken in for a more tapered fit. Sourced in the early 90s from a well-known heisman trophy jersey collector, this is the first time this jersey has been offered publicly. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use. Accompanied by an ALOA from JSA.
