A key cog to the 1986 Miracle Mets championship season, Gary Carter was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2003. Carter was inducted into the New York Mets Hall of Fame and was the team’s captain for two seasons. Manuf: Adirondack/Rawlings, Model Number: 326A, Length: 35 in., Weight: 32.4 oz., Wood: Ash, Labeling Period: 1986. Condition: Cracked on the upper handle. The player number “8” is written on the knob end and barrel end in black marker. The ounces are also marked on the knob end in black marker. Ball/hit marks are present on the left and back barrel. There are black ball transfer marks present on the back barrel. There are blue rack marks on the back barrel and cleat marks on the left and back barrel. There is moderate pine tar use on the handle. This bat shows excellent overall player use attributes. Carter signed the bat on the front barrel in black pen with the added inscription, “Best Wishes God Bless Always” and in our opinion, rates a 6 overall. This bat was presented to us as game-used and shows light-to-medium use. Accompanied by a full JSA LOA and an LOA from PSA/DNA grading the bat an 8.
