Diego Maradona is regarded as the top footballer of the 1980s and one of the greatest of all time. Maradona led club teams to championships in Argentina, Italy, and Spain, and he starred on the Argentine national team that won the 1986 World Cup. Presented is one of Maradona’s jerseys with Napoli from 1987-88. Across the chest reads “Buitoni” screened in white. On the upper left chest is an Italian country flag logo and on the upper right chest are two additional logos. On the right sleeve is the “SOCIETA SPORTIVA CALCIO NAPOLI” patch embroidered. During this season there were two variants of Napoli jerseys, one type had the patch painted on and the other type had the patch embroidered. This jersey features the embroidered logo. Across the back is the player number “10” in white tackle twill. Originally sourced from the Maradona family, this jersey is accompanied by a LOA from David Eduardo Albornoz Lobos which in part reads “The shirt was made available to me by the Argentine senior collector Ariel Gonzales who obtained this shirt from Maradona’s ex-wife in Buenos Aires”. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use.
