For 13 seasons with the Boston Celtics, Larry Bird personified hustle, consistency and excellence in all areas of play; as a scorer, a passer, a rebounder, a defender, a team player, and, perhaps above all, as a clutch performer. Few played tougher than Bird, who would leap into crowds and over press tables for loose balls. NBA Top 50 player, Basketball Hall of Fame, Class of 1998. On the left front tail is the “Sand-Knit” manufacturer’s tag with size “46”. Above is the “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for Boston Celtics” tag. Adjacent are two strip tags with “89” and “3”LB”. Across the front is “CELTICS”. Player number “33” appears on both the front and back. Player name “BIRD” appears across the back. All numbers and letters are done in white tackle twill. At the left chest is the official NBA embroidered logo. Above is the “Follow Through” armband for the owners wife who used to tell Kevin McHale to follow through. "Larry Bird" is written on the front in black marker which we believe to be of the clubhouse variety and not in Birds hand. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use.
