“Super Mario” Lemieux was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1997, waiving the normal three-year waiting period. Lemieux led Pittsburgh to two consecutive Stanley Cups and under his ownership, won two more. He is the only man to have his name on the Stanley Cup as both a player and an owner. He won the Hart Trophy (NHL MVP) three times, the Art Ross Trophy as the league's points leader six times and the Conn Smythe Trophy twice. On the rear right tail, “CCM” and the official “NHL” shield logo are embroidered. On the inside of the jersey is a fight strap, with evidence of salt on the snaps. On the inside below the rear collar is a “Maska” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. On the tag, the number “66” and letter “C” is written in black pen. On the left chest is the Captain’s, “C” and on the back is the player number “66”. These are done in yellow on white tackle twill. On the chest is the team’s penguin logo in black and yellow stitching on white tackle twill. The player number “66” appears on each sleeve in black on white tackle twill. Across the back reads the player name, “LEMIEUX” in yellow tackle twill on a black nameplate. There are evident stick marks on the front of the jersey. Lemieux signed the front logo in black pen and in our opinion, rates a 7 overall. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA and a copy of Hockey Hall of Fame documentation.
