With a 43.75 point per game margin of victory of its opponents in the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympic Games, the U.S. Men’s Basketball team strolled to victory in the first ever Olympics that allowed NBA players. A large part of that success was due to HOFer Charles Barkley, who, in the prime of his career, averaged 18 points per game and led the team with 144 total points over the eight game tournament. His jaw dropping performance easily won him Olympic MVP honors, as his .711 field goal percentage led the team by leaps and bounds. He even went 7 for 8 from behind the arc, while sinking 73 percent of his free throws. These Nike manufactured size "15" white sneakers with navy blue and red trim were worn by Barkley during the tournament. "180 AIR" is embroidered on each tongue and on the back of each shoe. "FORCE" is embroidered on each Velcro strap. The Nike swoosh is on either side of both sneakers. Each sneaker has been autographed on the outside in blue marker with “USA MVP 92” added to the left sneaker and rates an 8. The shoes show game-use and appear to have no alterations of any kind. The autographs are accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
