One of the greatest tennis stars of all-time, Jimmy Connors surprised the world by making the US Semifinals at age 39 before losing to Jim Courier. The next year in the 1992 US Open, Connors beat Jaime Oncins in the first round 6–1, 6–2, 6–3, before losing to Ivan Lendl in the second round. It was the last major tournament Connors appeared in to cap off an incredible career. The yellow and purple Estusa racquet Connors used during that final US Open shows moderate match use as would be expected from a Tennis Hall of Famer. Connors has signed the handle in black marker. Accompanied by a letter attesting to its provenance from Connors’ coach Doug Henderson to whom this racquet was given by the tennis great and an ALOA from JSA.
