Perhaps the most amazing thing about Cal Ripken, Jr. is that he played his entire 21 year career with the Baltimore Orioles. A 19-time All-Star and member of the 3,000 hit club, Ripken is considered one of the best shortstops and third basemen to ever play the game. At 6' 4" and 225 lbs., he pioneered the way for taller, larger shortstops to be successful in that position. When inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007, he was a first ballot inductee with the third highest voting percentage in Hall of Fame history. On the left front tail is the “Russell” manufacturers tag with wash instructions and jersey size “48.” Attached is the “Intera” tag with wash instructions. Directly underneath is a white label with “93-2”. Across the front is the team name “Orioles”. Player number “8” appears on both the front and back. Player name appears across the back on a grey nameplate. All these numbers and letters are done in black on orange tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the “1993 All-Star Game” patch. On the right sleeve is the Russell “R” embroidered logo. Jerseys exhibits extra length. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use.
