In 1998, David Wells and the New York Yankees completed one of the most dominant regular seasons en route to another World Series title. Along the way, Wells pitched the 15th perfect game in MLB history in May of that season. On the front left tail is a “RUSSELL ATHLETIC” size “52” manufacturer’s tag. Attached are two flag tags that read, “100% POLYESTER” and “4” EXTRA LENGTH”. Adjacent is a strip tag with, “WELLS - 98” printed on it. On the left chest is the team’s “NY” logo and on the back is the player number “33”. These are done in navy blue tackle twill sewn directly onto the pinstriped jersey. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use.
