John Smoltz was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2015 on the first ballot. Smoltz won a World Series in 1995 and was named the National League Cy Young Award winner in 1996. His number 29 is retired by the Atlanta Braves franchise. On the front left tail is the Russell Athletic manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Attached below are two flag tags that read, “50 100% POLYESTER” and “+2” EXTRA LENGTH” and a strip tag reading the “2004”. Across the chest reads, “Braves” with the team’s Tomahawk logo below. On the back is the player number “29”. These are done in red on navy blue tackle twill. Across the back reads the player name, “SMOLTZ” in navy blue tackle twill on a white nameplate. On the left sleeve is a number “21” memorial patch for Warren Spahn. On the rear collar is the official “MLB” logo embroidered. Smoltz signed the back player number “2” in black marker and in our opinion rates an 8. Baseball related staining is seen throughout. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use. Accompanied by an ALOA from JSA.
