At the University of Michigan Jabrill Peppers was a rare triple threat on the football field contributing on offense, defense and special teams. During the 2016 season he contributed 66 tackles, three sacks and one interception. On special teams Peppers averaged 14.8 yards on punt returns scoring one touchdown and averaged 26.0 yards on kickoff returns. On the offensive side of the ball he rushed 27 times for 167 yards and three touchdowns while catching two passes. Peppers played 933 snaps during the 2016 campaign, logging 726 plays on defense, 53 plays on offense, and 154 snaps on special teams playing 15 different positions. After the season Peppers was also awarded the Paul Hornung Award, honoring the nation's most versatile college football player, was a Unanimous All-American and finished fifth in voting for the Heisman Trophy. Offered is a helmet worn by Peppers in the 2016 season. Riddell manufactured helmet size “L” covered in team helmet sticker decals, awarded for big plays. On the front bumper is the team’s “M” logo in blue. On the back of the helmet is a player number “5” decal and a “WARNING” decal. On the inner right ear are four decals; an additional “WARNING”, “Riddell LARGE”, “INITIAL SEASON 2015” and a player number “5”. On the inner left ear are three decals; “WARNING”, “L” and “Riddell Inc AUG-2015” noting the date of manufacture. The inside padding and chin strap are fully intact. There is a clear Adidas “SPEED” visor attached to the facemask. This helmet is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use.
