A handwritten letter dated “2/11/52” and header that reads, “TYRUS R. COBB - 48 SPENCER LANE, ATHERTON - MENLO PARK, CALIFORNIA” with envelope. The writing on the envelop is penned in Cobb’s hand. Elmer Spencer inherited an original box score of Cobb’s first professional game. He sent Cobb the box score dated 4/26/1904 and asked if the box score was accurate. Cobb wrote him back saying he thought the box score was correct and sent the original, handwritten box score back to Spencer. Cobb homered and doubled in his professional debut. These items are a great piece of American baseball history. Accompanied by a full JSA LOA.
