Nicknamed "Sunny" for his cheerful attitude, Jim Bottomley was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974. A two-time World Series champion and National League MVP, Bottomley set the single-game RBI record with 12 in 1924. On May 12th of the same season, Bottomley hit his third home run of the season, and 16th of his Hall of Fame career, against the New York Giants during a 5-3 win. This Frick Official National League Baseball is that home run ball. On one of the panels in blue pen reads, "5/12/24 - New York - 3 Cardinals - 5 AND JIM HITS A HOME RUN". In our opinion, the autograph rates a 7 overall. The baseball has blue and red stitching and is in G-VG condition. Accompanied by a full JSA LOA.
5/12/1924 "Sunny" Jim Bottomley Single-Signed St. Louis Cardinals ONL Home Run Baseball (Full JSA LOA • Exceedingly Rare • Career HR No. 16)
