Eric Dickerson was selected second overall in the 1983 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams and was an immediate success as he established rookie records for most rushing attempts, most rushing yards and most rushing touchdowns. He was a 6-time Pro Bowler, 4-time NFL Rushing champion, 5-time First-Team All-Pro and was named the NFL Rookie of the Year in 1983. In 1999, Dickerson was elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. On September 13, 1987, Dickerson accumulated 152 all-purpose yards in a game against the Houston Oilers. On the front left tail is the “Sand-Knit” manufacturer’s tag with size “48”. Adjacent above is another “Sand-Knit” tag reading “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the LOS ANGELES RAMS”. On the right inseam is the “100% NYLON” tag with wash instructions. Across the front, on back and on each sleeve is the player number “29”. Across the back is the player name “DICKERSON” on a white mesh nameplate. All lettering and numbering is done in the same blue screenprint. Dickerson has signed the front and back of the jersey in blue marker with the added inscription “#29”, in our opinion the signatures rate a 7 overall. The neck has been professionally custom altered by the team, a known trait of Dickerson gamers. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use with numerous repairs. One of the finest Dickerson’s extant.
