2” x 6-3/4” strip of a hot dog napkin, vintage signed in ink by the great Babe Ruth.
The napkin exhibits wrinkling, the large signature grades a strong 8 or better. Our consignor advises that his grandfather received this signature in person at a baseball game; having espied the Babe at a hot dog stand, the grandfather saw the perfect opportunity to attain an autograph. Having nothing that Ruth could sign, Ruth used his hot dog napkin. An interesting piece as Ruth was known to binge on hot dogs, legend has it that he once downed 24 hot dogs between games of a double header. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
