Bill Walton, named one of the NBA's top 50 players of all time, was a devotee of the Grateful Dead, ate granola and wore huarache sandals. When the big redhead leaped from a spectacular career at UCLA into the pros in 1975, his sweet turnaround jumper and solid defense provided the force in the middle that the Portland Trailblazers needed to win the title in 1976-77. After injuries forced him to miss an entire season, he was traded to the hapless San Diego Clippers in 1979. He finished his career as a valuable 6th man with the champion Boston Celtics, and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1993. Walton wore this Clippers road mesh jersey in the early 1980s. In the neck is the "Russell Athletic" label and size "L". Under this is a tag with the size "42." On the left front tail is the same label. across the front is the name "San Diego" in white on red iron-on letters, and on back is the name "Walton" in white iron-on letters. The number "32" in on the front and back in white on red iron-on numbers. The jersey, which was obtained by an ex NBA equipment manager, shows light game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
