One of the greatest shooting guards in NBA history, George “The Iceman” Gervin finished his NBA career averaging 26.2 points per game. Gervin was voted as an All-Star for 12 consecutive seasons (ABA and NBA) and took home the NBA All-Star Game MVP Award in 1980. Along with being the NBA scoring champion for three consecutive seasons (1978-1980), Gervin was voted as a member of the ABA All-Time team and the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History team. He was enshrined in the National Basketball Hall of Fame in 1996. On the front left tail is the “RUSSELL ATHLETIC” manufacturer’s tag with size “38”, wash instructions and flag tag “100% NYLON” with additional wash instructions. On the left inseam is a “2” EXTRA LENGTH” tag. Across the front reads “SPURS” with the “U” as a “Spurs” logo. Adjacent below and on back is the player number “44”. Across the back is the player name “GERVIN”. All lettering and numbering is done in the same black on silver tackle twill. On both sides of the jersey are two San Antonio “Spur” logos screenprinted in white. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use. Accompanied by a LOA from George Gervin and John Anderson, former Head Athletic Trainer for the San Antonio Spurs from 1981-98. You would hard pressed to find a finer Gervin.
