Bob Cousy, one of the greatest passers and playmakers in NBA history, was flashy before flashy was cool. Benched early in his college career because his coach didn't like his revolutionary, razzle-dazzle style, Cousy went on to help build the Boston Celtics of the 1950s and 1960s into basketball's most enduring dynasty. He was a tremendously passionate and intense player, so much so that he would often suffer from stomach cramps and chest pains in the locker room before big games. Cousy was the heart and soul of a team of stars that featured Bill Russell, Tommy Heinsohn, K. C. Jones, Bill Sharman, and Satch Sanders. He played in 13 straight NBA All-Star Games and earned six NBA championship rings. He led the league in assists eight consecutive seasons and consistently ranked near the top in scoring and free-throw percentage. His skills and instincts graced the game a generation before their time. Inside the front tail is the "Horace Partridge Athletic Goods" manufacturer's tag with the jersey size "42" on it. Stamped next to this is the team inventory number “6546.” Across the front is "CELTICS." Below and on the back is the player number "14." All lettering and numbering is done in green tackle twill. The jersey has been autographed on front in black marker and rates a 9. On the inside back waistband of the shorts is the "Horace Partridge Athletic Goods" manufacturer's tag with the shorts size "36" on it. Written above this tag is the player number “14” in black marker (“20” has been crossed out). Stamped inside the shorts is the team inventory number “6546.” The shorts have been autographed on front in black marker and rate a 9. The uniform shows good game-use with team repairs and blood stains and appears to have no alterations of any kind. The autograph is accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
