Sam Jones was elected into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1984. Jones won 10 NBA Championships, second only to his teammate, Bill Russell. In 1996, he was named one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History. This warm-up suit was originally sourced from the Jones family. Inside the rear collar is a “Horace Partridge” size “42” manufacturer’s tag. Across the front reads “BOSTON” in white on yellow tackle twill. On the back, the nameplate has been removed. Each sleeve has a “Celtics” clover team logo in white on yellow tackle twill. Jones signed the jacket in the “O” of “BOSTON” in black marker with the added inscription, “HOF 83” and in our opinion, rates a 6-7. Inside the waistline of the pants is a “Wilson” size “38” manufacturer’s tag. Each pant leg has two yellow tackle twill stripes surrounding a single white tackle twill stripe. This warm-up suit is properly tagged, was presented to us as player-worn and in our opinion shows appropriate wear. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA and a Sam Jones LOA.
