Warren Spahn has the most wins by a left-handed pitcher in MLB history. A 17-time All-Star, Spahn is a World Series champion, a Cy Young Award winner, was named to the MLB All-Century Team and has his No. 21 retired by the Atlanta Braves franchise. Spahn led the National League in wins eight times, pitched two no hitters and was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1973. Inside on the rear collar is a “Horace Partridge” size “42” manufacturer’s tag. Below is a white felt strip tag with the player name, “Spahn” embroidered on it in red chain-stitching. The zipper is intact. Across the chest reads, “Braves” in red felt on black felt and below is the team’s Tomahawk logo in brown on gold-colored felt with tan, and red chain-stitching. The player number “21” appears on the back in red on black felt sewn directly onto the grey flannel jersey. On the left sleeve is the team’s logo patch. This is done in black, red, green, yellow and tan felt with chain-stitching done in black, green, red, white and yellow. Spahn signed on the left side of the jersey below the Tomahawk logo in black pen and in our opinion, rates a 6 overall. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. This jersey is sourced from a team scout 30 years ago and is fresh to the hobby. The inside back center surrounding the red and black felt player number shows slight red color transfer from wear and laundering. This jersey is in fantastic all-original condition and is accompanied by a full JSA LOA.
