The icon of the Yankees' success in the 1950s and 1960s, Mickey Mantle led the Bronx Bombers to 12 AL pennants and seven World Series Championships during his career in pinstripes from 1951 through 1968. The three-time AL MVP recorded 536 career home runs to go with a lifetime .298 batting average. Mantle was elected to the Baseball HoF in 1974. On the inside back collar of the 1951 replica jersey is the "Mitchell & Ness" manufacturers tag. On the front left tail is an additional "Cooperstown Collection" manufacturers tag. On the inside back tail is an additional manufacturers tag with wash instructions on it. On the front left breast is the official "Yankees NY" logo in blue felt. On the back is the player number "7" in blue felt. On the left sleeve is the official "Yankees 50th Anniversary 1901-1951" embroidered logo patch. There is an autograph in black marker rating an 8 below the "NY" logo on the left front of the jersey. The jersey is in excellent condition and appears to have no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a LOA from Jimmy Spence of PSA/DNA.
