Very rare 1-7/8" x 4-1/2" baseball season ticket booklet from the 1897 "St. Paul Base Ball Club," made out to the season ticket holder and signed in black fountain pen inside the front cover by HOFer Charles Comiskey, then the team's manager. The St. Paul Saints team moved to the south side of Chicago in 1900 and became the White Stockings, later the White Sox. Nine tickets included (one loose), for games 62-70. Each ticket reads "Complimentary Season Ticket, St. Paul's Base Ball Club 1897, Chas. Comiskey Manager, Not Good If Detached" with the game number and pass number printed on. A rare piece of early baseball history, booklet is VG-EX with a vertical crease on the leather cover and light spotting on the tickets. Signature grades a strong 8 to 9. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
