In the 1920's, the New York Yankees began what turned out to be a century of dominance in baseball. "Murderers Row" was born and was led by two future Hall of Famers whose names would soon become synonymous with baseball. This "NATIONAL BRAND" baseball has been signed by both of these icons, "The Sultan of Swat" Babe Ruth and "The Iron Horse" Lou Gehrig as well as nine others. The Ruth signature is on the sweet spot, done in blue ink and rates a strong 9 with only a slight discoloration on the lower half of the "a" in Babe". The Gehrig is on the panel directly below the sweet spot and is done in black ink rating a strong 8 only due to slight fading. The ball itself very evenly toned and in overall excellent condition. The other signatures include team owner Jacob Ruppert (rare), Ben Cantwell, Earle Combs, Lyn Lary, Tony Lazzeri, Dick Hoblitzel and William Smith Grafton, the original owner of the ball who added the inscription "W. Va.". Accompanied by a LOA from James Spence Authentication.
