From 1936-1940 the Boston Braves changed their nickname to the "Bees" before changing back in 1941. This blue wool Boston Bees cap was worn by HOF manager Bill McKechnie during the 1937 season, his last in Boston. Blue and white "B" logo stitched on the front, inside is bordered in brown leather. "Partridge's Athletic Goods" manufacturer's tag glued into the inside top, white wool nameplate with red stitched "McKechnie" sewn in the inside back. Cap shows nice wear with staining on the leather. Included is a vintage 8" x 10" black and white photo picturing McKechnie circa 1936-1937 wearing this style cap.
