George "Snuffy" Stirnweiss played eight years with the New York Yankees and during that time played in two all star games and three World Series. This bat was used by "Snuffy" during the 1947 season. The 35 inch, 32.6 ounce, MC24 model bat shows evidence of significant game use. There are ball and cleat marks about the barrel and slight grain separation in the reverse which has been repaired. 30 members of the 1947 squad have signed the barrel in ink including DiMaggio, Heinrich, Rizzuto, Bucky Harris, Reynolds, Keller, and a rookie named Berra (signed Larry Berra). The signatures rate between 7 and 9. A spectacular display from the 1947 World Champion Yankee team.
