This five-time All-Star anchored a Yankee infield that won nine World Championships in his thirteen year career. The 1950 AL MVP, the "Scooter" was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1994.This New York Yankee road grey flannel jersey was worn by Rizzuto during the 1953 Championship season. In the neck of the jersey is the "Spalding" label with the size tag "42" below. On the left front tail in blue chain stitch is " P Rizzuto 53" denoting player name and year. On the lower inside left tail is the wash tag. Across the front of the jersey is the name "New York" and on the back is the player number "10." Both the name and number are made of blue felt. The front has been restored. The jersey was signed by Rizzuto in blue marker, rating a very solid 9. The jersey shows good game-use and with the exception of the restored front, appears to have no other alterations of any kind.
