In a 14-season career, Bauer had a .277 batting average with 164 home runs and 703 RBI in 1544 games. He won the World Series with the Yankees seven times, and managed the Orioles to another World Series championship in 1966. He holds the World Series record for the longest hitting streak, at 17 games. The uniform has the "Wilson" manufacturers label with the size "46" label on the left front tail. Attached to these labels is the washing instructions tag. Below these is the year "1954" chain stitch directly in the jersey. "Bauer H" is stitched in black in the neck on a strip tag. "New York" is stitched across the front and "9" across the back in navy blue felt. The jersey appears to be all original. The jersey shows game-use appears to have no alterations of any kind.
