Jacques Plante is considered one of the most important innovators in hockey. He played for the Montreal Canadiens from 1953 to 1963, winning six Stanley Cups, including five consecutive. In 2017 Plante was named one of the "100 Greatest NHL Players" in history. Plante was the first NHL netminder to wear a goaltender mask on a regular basis and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1978. Made from what appears to be resin, this goalie mask is customized and the strap is attached. The mask is accompanied by a LOA from a family member of a Boston Bruins Vice President who acquired it.
