Bob Turley was traded to the New York Yankees after the 1954 season and played for the Yankees from 1955 to 1962. His best year was 1958, when he won 21 games and lost seven. As a result, he won the Hickok Belt as top professional athlete of the year, the Cy Young Award as the best pitcher in Major League Baseball, and the World Series Most Valuable Player Award. On the front left tail of the jersey is the "SPALDING" manufacturer's tag. Attached is a tag reading "44" indicating jersey size. Below that is "61" stitched in navy blue indicating this momentous year. On the left breast is the "Yankees" team logo patch. On the back of the jersey is the player number "19" done in navy blue felt. Inside the back of the neck is a strip tag reading "Turley". There is an autograph on the front of the jersey in black marker and rates a 9. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. The autograph is accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
