In the popular 1962 baseball film "Safe At Home," young Hutch Lawton gets himself into hot water by bragging to his friends that his father knows Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris. Once his little league team is invited to Yankees Spring Training, he is forced to seek out his heroes and plea for help. The film was released in April of 1962 to take advantage of the upcoming season and to garner more enthusiasm for the Yankees' better known players, coming off the spectacular 1961 season. Four of these Yankees legends appeared in the film: Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, Whitey Ford and manager Ralph Houk. This is an original 27" x 41" one sheet poster from this delightful film. Matted and framed to 31" x 45", in VG-FINE condition with some fold wear and tiny tears.
