A seven-time All-Star, Roger Maris is a three-time World Series champion, a two-time AL MVP and has his No. 9 retired by the New York Yankees franchise. Maris set the baseball world ablaze when he hit 61 home runs in a season, surpassing Babe Ruth’s record of 60. On the inside of the waistline adjacent to the button path is a “Wilson” size “36” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Attached adjacent are two flag tags that read, “66” and “SET 1” respectively. Adjacent to the manufacturer’s tag, the number “66” is written in black pen. Adjacent to the manufacturer’s tag is a flannel strip tag with, “Maris 26” embroidered on it in navy blue chain-stitching. On the inside of the rear waistline, “”9”” is written in black pen.
