Johnson played nine seasons (1967-1976) in the ABA with seven different franchises: the Kentucky Colonels, New Jersey Americans, New York Nets, Houston Mavericks, Pittsburgh Pipers, Pittsburgh Condors, Carolina Cougars , San Diego Conquistadors, Memphis Sounds, Baltimore Claws, San Diego Sails and San Antonio Spurs. In his ABA career Johnson scored 10,538 career points. He also made three ABA All-Star Game appearances (1973, 1974 and 1975). He set the ABA single-game scoring record when he erupted for 62 points against The Floridians on March 6, 1971; his record lasted almost a year until Zelmo Beaty scored 63 points against the Pittsburgh Condors on February 21, 1972. On the back inside tail is the "Rawlings" manufacturer's size 44 tag. To its right is the "L" tag representing "long" and to the right of that is the wash instructions tag. Across the front is “PITTSBURGH” in red on white tackle twill. Below and on back is the player number “13” in the same tackle twill. The nameplate on back has been removed. In the back waistband of the shorts is the "Rawlings" manufacturer's size 34 tag. To its right is wash instructions tag. On each side of the shorts is the red and gold “Condors” embroidered logo patch with the red, white, and blue ABA basketball. The jersey and shorts show good game use and besides the name plate on back being removed appears to have no other alterations of any kind.
