Gil Hodges was inducted into the baseball Hall of Fame in 2021. He managed the "Miracle Mets" to the 1969 World Series championship, and became the first team ever to win the Series after finishing at least 15 games under .500 the previous year. On the front left tail is the Spalding manufacturer’s tag with two attached tags reading the year “71” and size “46”. Inside the collar is a strip tag reading “14 46 Set 1 71”. Across the chest reads “Mets”. The manager number appears below and on the back. All numbering and lettering is done in blue felt on orange tackle twill. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as manager worn and shows wear. Accompanied by a Photo-Match.com LOA confirming the match and a PM&G LOA grading the jersey a 10.
