Rick Mount led the Pacers to the 1972 ABA Championship, racking up an impressive 57 three-pointers in his second season as a Pacer. Mount averaged nearly 15 points and three assists per game and was a constant threat from beyond the arc. The Pacers battled through the playoffs, requiring seven games to defeat the Denver Rockets and the Utah Stars in the first two rounds. Mount and the Pacers faced off against Rick Barry and the New York Nets in the Finals. The series went to six games with the Pacers ultimately winning their second ABA Championship, the first of two consecutive titles for Indiana. This size 10.5, 10k white gold version player’s ring weighs 28 grams. It was presented to Rick Mount after he and the Pacers won the ABA Championship in 1972. The top panel reads “PACERS 1972 CHAMPIONS” surrounding 18 round-cut diamonds with a total diamond weight of roughly .33-carats and a synthetic sapphire stone. The right panel features a banner engraved with the player name “MOUNT” and number “10” above the casted image of the Pacers logo. The left panel reads “MAY 20, 1972”, the date that the Pacers won the ABA Finals; “108-105”, the final score of Game 6; “PRIDE, POISE, PERFECTION” and the official ABA logo. The inside of the ring is stamped “HERFF JONES HJ 10K”. We were told that this ring originated directly from Rick Mount. The ring is in EX condition and is accompanied by a copy of an additional LOA.
