This baseball was hit for Hall of Famer Hank Aaron’s 705th home run on August 22, 1973 off Reggie Cleveland of the St. Louis Cardinals which moved him within 10 home runs of Ruth’s record. This is one of the few baseballs from Aaron’s 700-715 home runs that is not featured in the Baseball Hall of Fame. The number “705” is handwritten in period faded ink right above the “Spalding” logo, which matches that of the exemplars at the Hall of Fame. Spalding manufactured ONL Feeney baseball that shows great game use from the historic moment. This ball was originally sourced from the Atlanta Braves traveling secretary and is accompanied by a LOA from our consignor.
