Willie McCovey was voted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1986. The San Francisco Giants slugger was a three-time NL home run champion, two-time RBI champion, six-time All-Star and the NL MVP in 1969. On the front left tail is the Wilson manufacturers tag size “44” with washing instructions. Adjacent below is a strip tag reading “73 Set 1” embroidered in black chain stitching. In the rear collar is a strip tag reading the player name “McCovey” also in black chain stitching. Across the chest reads “SAN FRANCISCO”. Across the back reads the player name “McCOVEY” and below is the player number “44”. All numbering and lettering is done in orange on black tackle twill. In the front waistband of the pants is the Wilson manufacturers tag size “36” with washing instructions. In the rear waistband is a strip tag reading “McCovey 73 Set 2” embroidered in black chain stitching. This uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a LOA from Photo-Match.com grading the jersey a perfect 10.
