First-ballot Hall of Famer Carl Yastrzemski was elected to 18 All-Star games and was the 1967 AL MVP, when he won the Triple Crown. The seven-time Gold Glove Award winner has his No. 8 retired by the Boston Red Sox. On the inside middle tail is the McAULIFFE manufacturer’s tag. Attached to this is a size “42” tag, a “1974” year tag and a tag with washing instructions. Across the front reads “RED SOX”. On the back is player number “8”. Both are done in the same red on navy blue tackle twill sewn directly into the jersey. Yastrzemski signed the front of the jersey in black marker, and in our opinion, rates an 8. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA.
