Pete Rose played from 1963 to 1986, best known for his many years with the Cincinnati Reds. Rose, a switch hitter, is the all-time major-league leader in hits (4,256), games played (3,562), at bats (14,053), and outs (10,328). He won three World Series rings, three batting titles, one MVP Award, two Gold Gloves, the Rookie of the Year Award, and made 17 All-Star appearances at an unequaled five different positions. On the inside front tail is the "Rawlings" manufacturer's tag with jersey size "44" and wash instructions. Attached are two flag tags, "1976" and "SET 2." The jersey is stamped below "Purchased from Cincinnati Reds." It is possible that this was added afterwards. On the front left chest is the "Reds" team logo patch embroidered in white on red tackle twill. On the front right chest and on back is the player number "14" in red tackle twill. Across the back is the player name "ROSE" sewn directly on the jersey in the same tackle twill. On the right sleeve of the jersey is the "1976 National League Centennial" patch. The jersey is autographed in black on front and rates an 8. It shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. The autograph is accompanied by a LOA from JSA. An additional LOA will be provided.
